POSITION: REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE
Assessment Centre/Inpatients
Primary Sites: Stratford
Regular Part-time with Temporary Full-time
(Shifts: 12-hour/8-hour/4-hour shifts; Days/Evenings/Nights, 7 day/week coverage, may be subject to change)

REPORTS TO: Manager, Intensive Care Unit, Telemetry/ISU and Cardiorespiratory

DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible

SALARY: $29.39 to $31.17 per hour

REQUIREMENTS:
- Current Registration and Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current BCLS Certification

EXPERIENCE:
- Nasopharyngeal swabbing an asset
- Recent clinical experience (minimum two years) in Medicine/Complex Continuing Care Nursing
- Recent/related courses, in-services in Medicine/Complex Continue Care Nursing

SKILLS:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to plan, organize and problem solve
- Ability to prioritize and function both independently and interdependently with the inter-professional care team
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing continuing education
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position
- Working knowledge of Meditech Information System and personal computer applications
- Excellent physical assessment skills

Required Learning:
- Completion of IV Therapy Initiation and IV Therapy Discontinuation course
